Ideas for the Renewal of the Soviet Union and Ukraine

Abstract

By the end of the 1980s, the Soviet Union became more and more serious, the profound structural changes became indispensable. However, attempts to reform the empire of the Moscow-based federal state eventually led to the inevitability of the erosion of the system and the destruction of the superpower. In my present study, I look at the political side of this series of events, with special regard to the efforts to create a new federal treaty and to the Ukrainian independence process.
