Tactical Training for Volunteer Reserve Forces Providing Armed Protection for the Facilities of the Hungarian Defence Forces, and Experiences Gained from This Training

Abstract

From the perspective of the Hungarian Armed Forces’ daily tasks, the presence of armed security guards with voluntary reserve status is essential, particularly in the facility protection segment. In order for the personnel of armed security guards to be able to play an effective role in meeting social expectations and to undertake and enforce the standards related to the procedures specified in the legislation, it is necessary to raise their adaptation and transformation capabilities to a higher level and it is also necessary to acquire new skills. The power to take action is granted to persons performing both state and non-state law enforcement tasks, including the personnel of the Hungarian Armed Forces with voluntary reserve status in the performance of their duties. My empirical research supports my hypothesis that, by separating the variables of gender, age, and educational attainment, it is possible to examine the responses given in contact reactions based on, among other things, prejudices, age-specific characteristics, and the processing of environmental information.
