Hungary's Vulnerability to Hydrological Disaster from September 2017 to January 2018 in the Light of Extreme Amount and Intensity of Rainfall

Abstract

In my article, I am presenting the threat of hydrological disaster in Hungary and - through the presentation of some extreme weather events - in other countries in the light of an extreme amount and intensity of rainfall from September 2017 until January 2018.
My aim is to show that the relationship between alteration of rainfall characteristics and the increase in the risk of hydrological disasters can be objectively supported by long-term empirical research and by recording of data and cases of damages.
