Absztrakt
Irán és az Egyesült Államok kapcsolata fordulóponthoz érkezett az iszlám forradalom során, majd ezt követően egyre feszültebbé vált a két ország viszonya, ami többek között Irán nukleáris programjából adódott. A kérdés több éve van az ENSZ Biztonsági Tanácsának napirendjén is, azonban 2015-ben diplomáciai úton jött létre az Átfogó Közös Cselekvési Terv (JCPOA), amely rövid időre normalizálta a két ország kapcsolatát. 2018 óta azonban az iráni atomfegyver előállítását újra fenyegetésnek tekinti az Amerikai Egyesült Államok, a JCPOA helyreállítási folyamatában újra szembe kerülnek az iráni és amerikai érdekek, ám ezek a tárgyalások mostanáig sem értek véget. Attól függően, hogy milyen megoldás születik, több szcenárió is felvázolható arra vonatkozóan, hogy Irán és az Egyesült Államok kapcsolata miként alakulhat a jövőben.
