Abstract

Since July 2021 the leadership of the Serbian entity, the Republika Srpska had made several steps that threatened with secession from the country. Therefore, the current situation is often considered to be one of the biggest crises of the country since Dayton. The Serbian actions were reactions to the last move of the former international High Representative, Valentin Inzko who criminalised the refusal of genocide. What domestic and international factors concluded into the current situation? This paper aims to outline the main tendencies, analyse the role of the most important actors, and the impact of the Ukrainian war.
