“Frayed Partnership”: Russia in the View of the German Society

Abstract

The relations between Russia and Germany have always played a determining role in the security, political stability and economic welfare of Europe. The author gives a summary of the most important conclusions of the public opinion poll conducted by Bertelsmann Stiftung and Instytut Spraw Pulicznych between March 4–12, 2016 about how Germans perceive Russia, the conduct of Russo–German relations and Russia-related issues within European defense policy affairs.
