Social and Political Tendencies in Bolivia in the 21st Century

Abstract

The essay examines those social and political changes that have taken place in Bolivia since Evo Morales took office in 2006. Due to the fact that there are few analyses on Bolivian topics written in Hungarian, I have aimed at sketching the overall background as well, providing historic, economic, demographic and other related data. These will in turn enable the reader to see and interpret the specific tendencies of the last decade within a more general context.
