Abstract

The study is the continuation of the paper entitled The European Union and the Middle East I. It analyses the importance of the Mediterranean and the Middle East from the perspective of the EU’s security policy through examining the major features of the relationship, and the aims and means of the EU. The study focuses on two questions: what kind of security challenges are in the European Union’s centre of attention regarding the Middle East, and how (by which means) the EU has been trying to solve them.
