Abstract
This study aims to introduce and specify the meaning of post-truth, while it also clarifies the social, technological and political preconditions of this phenomenon. After this, the second part of the analysis highlights the most important security policy consequences of the post-truth era. The final section summarizes the empirical experiences of the U.S. presidential elections.
