Abstract

The study examines the historical aspects of radio amateur clubs. In our country, the beginnings of radio amateur clubs date back to the 1920s and in the middle of the 1930s the Hungarian Associations of Shortwave Amateurs (MRAOE) became a dominant organization. The presented relationships mainly belong to the MRAOE, which was a gathering place for many of those valuable radio technicians who assisted the defense and intelligence response tasks.
