The Attendance of the Slovak Republic in the Three Seas Initiative

Abstract
The Slovak Republic is a founding member of the Three Seas Initiative, a regional cooperation launched in 2015 among Central and Eastern European countries. Its objective is to promote the region’s economic growth by advancing north–south infrastructure, energy and digital development projects. Although the Slovak Republic does not have a coastline, its strategic location is nevertheless of great importance to the Three Seas Initiative, as it lies at a key crossroads between the Baltic and Balkan regions. Several projects currently being implemented within the framework of the Initiative will, upon completion, make a significant contribution to Slovakia’s infrastructure development.
