The Integration of E-sports, FPV Drone Operation, and Eye-Tracking Technology in Military Drone Operator Training

doi: 10.32563/hsz.2026.3.6

Abstract

With the rise of digital warfare and technology-based training systems, military preparation has entered a new dimension. The cognitive, decision-making, and motor skills acquired in the world of e-sports are increasingly adaptable to military drone operation tasks, particularly in the control of FPV (First Person View) drones. In my research, I sought to identify connections between e-sports and drone operation – the most direct link being the use of FPV simulators – and to explore methods for monitoring their use, as well as how eye-tracking technology can assist in observing and improving attention, reaction time, and focus. The study highlights that the integration of these three areas enables increased efficiency in military training, cost reduction, and the faster, safer preparation of the digital soldiers of the future.
