doi: 10.32563/hsz.2019.4.6

Abstract

In my study I present the various losses suffered by Christian communities as a result of the political and faith-based atrocities experienced in Nigeria, furthermore, I employ the theoretical frameworks of premodern warfare, fourth-generation warfare and anomic conflicts to analyse and discuss their natures. According to my thesis the non-armed victims of the new forms of armed conflict characteristic of the 21st century are the Christian individuals and communities. My study will also discuss the impact of such conflicts on the national security of Hungary, moreover, I will analyse the Hungarian humanitarian response to these challenges.
