Abstract
The aim of this paper is to collect those essential questions which determine Romania’s role in NATO. Taking into account that since 2014 there is a crisis in Ukraine the purpose of strengthening the Eastern European borders and the strategic role of the Black Sea, makes the regional security more important. Romania became a key partner of the United States of America and the NATO not only in these days, but before it has joined the Alliance as well.
