Clausewitzian Instruments in the Long War in Afghanistan

doi: 10.32563/hsz.2019.2.3

Abstract

Asymmetric warfare is one of the most typical forms of warfare in today’s history. However, Carl von Clausewitz had been investigating the factors and tools that allow a weaker party to avoid a defeat, or keep on fighting until his opponent abandons the original goal in a war between two parties with considerable difference in size, power or strength. I will study these factors in my study in the context of the Afghan war since 2001.
