Possible Interpretations of Food Security in Crisis-affected Areas

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the possible interpretations of food security in crisis-affected areas with a particular focus on nowadays’ warzones. Be yond the basic concepts of food security the correlation between hunger and conflict are discussed. Furthermore the paper reviews the appearance of the different segments of food security in today’s conflict zones. The examination of this issue is mainly based on the analysis of relevant reports of international organizations dealing with the concerned issue.
