doi: 10.32563/hsz.2019.1.ksz.6

Abstract

„The duty of a revolutionist is the fight, the fight come what may, the fight until death.” This motto belongs to Auguste Blanqui’s definition of revolutionist’s tasks. 3 After the Napoleonic wars the modern urban environment had become the main theatre of guerrilla warfare where the urban proletariat was the main source of insurrection against the Western-and Middle-European monarchies. This study focuses on these insurrections and Blanqui’s main works and theories on the urban insurgency. The related research was supported by the ÚNKP-18-4-NKE-13 New National Excellence Program of the Ministry of Human Capacities.
