The Role of Women During the War in the Home Front of Hungary, 1914–1918

Abstract

In my study I show you the role of women, their social situation, and their sacrifice in the period of the First World War. I reveal how the big war brought them social recognition, I inspect how they fit into the system of war economy as working women, what role they played in the society of the home front, and how they fought that the hardships of the war be  judged differently by society.
