Abstract

This paper describes the possibilities to provide pastoral care for migrants within the framework of the current canon law. The paper also describes the past and present role of the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People. Finally, it analyses recent publications including official documents and papal messages about contemporary challenges faced by migrants.
