  • Simon Attila

Abstract

The study presents the process of reintegrating the territory of Southern Slovakia into the Hungarian public administration back in 1938, when the area was returned to Hungary under the First Vienna Award. The study examines the process primarily from the point of view of what that meant for the population living in the affected area. The author mainly focuses on problems occurring during the reintegration, including issues such as military administration, or different socialization of Hungarians living in Hungary and in Czechoslovakia.
