Abstract

Since the early 2020s, the security issues of the Korean Peninsula have repeatedly become more tense. By analysing information from the Military Balance+ database, the study presents the military capabilities of the rival Korean states, as well as the current armament trends. The study describes the behaviour of the foreign powers involved in the Korean conflict, particularly the military cooperation between the DPRK and Russia, and the closer alliance between the United States, South Korea and Japan. The author also examines the connections between the Russian-Ukrainian war and the Korean conflict.
