Abstract
The study introduces the relations between Turkey and the NATO in the post-Cold War era. The analysis examines the period between 1991 and today in three sub-periods, and applies comparative methodology to identify the sources of tension between Ankara and its allies. The paper is attempting to answer the question of whether Turkey is really moving away from NATO.
