Abstract

The article is dealing with the comparison of the way of working of the national security community and the disaster management bodies. It is obvious, that these are quite different. The possible support of the disaster management bodies by the means of the national security is being outlined, which is possible during the prevention and handling of disasters originated by human beings. Based on case studies, disaster management exercises (in the phase of the scenario-making, planning and performing) should be used for the exploitation of the possible cooperation and for familiarization with it.
