Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to examine in what directions Croatia is currently developing its air traffic. What factors play the greatest role in the development of Croatian regional airports? Is it true that the air traffic of Croatian regional airports has grown remarkably in recent years? Did the air traffic of Croatian regional airports really develop much more dynamically over the last four years than the Hungarian or Austrian airports? What role did low- budget airlines play in the leaps and bounds of regional airport? Which Croatian airports saw a dramatic increase in traffic and which ones did not? Is it true that the air traffic of some Croatian regional airports is now well over the size of their catchment area and collection area? What are the cornerstones of the Croatian aviation development strategy?
