The Applicability of Cryogenics in Modern Aviation

Abstract

In this article, the authors describe their research activities related to cryogenic systems. After the introduction and the history of cryogenics the cryogenic gases used in aviation are presented, with a detailed analysis of the use of liquid hydrogen. Then we show an example with using a computer software that is able to physically and mathematically model the different kind of fluid flows. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive, easy-to-understand summary of the alternative future of modern aviation.
