NDAB’s (Nato Deployable Airbase) Preculiarities Concidering of International Civil and Military Standards

Abstract

NDAB is a mobile, deployable airport, one of the NATO's Smart Defense Policy initiatives, which aims to share the financial and human resources involved in operating an airport by participating Member States. It will enable them to commonly install and maintain, even in extreme climatic conditions, an airport, to accommodate both military and civilian aircraft, depending on the needs. The question arises of the extent to which the design and operation procedures of such an airport show similarity with international civilian and military regulators, given that they are not applied equally to the participating nations.
