Augmented Reality in Modern Maintenance

Abstract

A digital revolution is upcoming in the industry. Within this framework there is a high level of IT support for industrial processes. One of the biggest utilization areas of the industrial digitalisation can be the maintenance processes. These processes can be supported by the technology of augmented reality. The article presents the augmented reality applications, with particular reference to its areas of utilization and describes the development of maintenance technology. Then the specific uses of the technology for maintenance processes are taken into account.
