Development Stages of the Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management Solutions

Abstract

Traffic management of unmanned aircraft systems is one of the major challenges of the near future in the aviation industry. The emerging systems provide such functional solutions that enable the integration of unmanned aerial vehicles into the conventional aircrafts in case of low level, perigee flights. The air traffic control system should be abreast of the continuous technological development, thus it is important that the control system possess modular set-up, which ensures the implementation possibility of the emerging technical needs. This article present a system concept with modular set-up, which supports the step by step development of the UTM according to the actual technical needs.
