The Possibilities of Enhancing the Survivability of the Combat Helicopters

Abstract

The Zrínyi 2026 National Defence and Armed Forces Development Program allows for such
a capability development that is unique in the history of the Hungarian Defence Forces. In
2018, the renewal of the helicopter culture began with the procurement of light and medium
multipurpose helicopters, which can only be complete with the development of combat helicopter
capability. In addition to the combat efficiency and the proper technical reliability of these
devices, reducing the vulnerability of the helicopter crew and the combat helicopter itself is
particularly important. When selecting the type that best suits the Air Force, it is indispensable
to assess the construction designs that can enhance the survivability of combat helicopters.
