Abstract

This year Hungary celebrates the 200th Anniversary of János Arany’s birthday, one of Hungary’s greatest epic poet and creator of realistic poetry. He was familiar with German and Scottish ballads and borrowed judiciously from these, as well as from the Hungarian ballads of Transylvania. The aim of this study is the historical review of two popular ballads, in addition to transmit the messages of his life, poetry and ballads to the police and students of political science and scientists of our century.
