Industrial Policy, Law and Administration in the Work of István Egyed in the Context of the Political and Industrial Changes Between the Austro-Hungarian Compromise and 1948

Abstract

A significant part of the scientific work of István Egyed is linked to certain parts of administrative policies and administration.
The scholar was engaged in the issue of industrial policy, industrial law and administration in the period of the Austor-Hungarian Compromise of 1867 and 1948.
In our study we analyse the work of István Egyed regarding the above mentioned fields. Our analysis provides a brief overview of the history of economic and industrial policies covering nearly a whole century, which determined the scholar’s professional activity. One of the important goals of our study is to make Professor Egyed’s works familiar with the readers because these publications have not been available in the last seventy years. In addition to his scientific works we also mention some of his publications, which are important in getting to know the author’s standpoint.
