On-call Work in English Law: Extremely Unbalanced Employment?
Abstract
Zero hours contract is an extreme form of on-call work, since it provides the weakest employment protection of employees. Therefore, the object of the paper is to draw conclusions of British law and practice for the Hungarian legislation. The main conclusion of the study is that on-call work entails a set of legislative risks, thus, this form of work must be regulated in details, with special emphasis on minimum, paid working time.
