Review of Vezetés a közjó szolgálatában – közpénzügyi gazdálkodás és menedzsment

Abstract

In this review I present the book entitled Vezetés a közjó szolgálatában – közpénzügyi gazdálkodás és menedzsment which was published in the summer of 2017 and I evaluate the utility of the book. According to the editor most of the management books focus on the private sector and ignore the public sector. The main goal of this book is to present theoretical and practical management knowledge to the leaders of the public sector. The book includes five parts and 27 chapters written by 28 authors. This book is a product of an interdisciplinary project, so it analyses public management reviewing lots of aspects such as law, social psychology, behaviour economy etc. The book fills a gap in the literature on public services and it can successfully contribute to the education of leaders and managers of public service.
