The Nisman Case

Abstract

Introducing the last decades of the Argentinian national security services – the intelligence and counter-intelligence working under the same umbrella – highlighting their historical development is still missing in the Hungarian literature. Perhaps, a retrospective presentation of the given period produces the necessary incentive to study the activities often with clear political motivation, of the national security services’ in the eighth largest country in the world.

The purpose of the present study is to present some aspects of the evolution of the role of the national security activities in Argentina, to highlight some of the violations of rights and committed crimes by the officials of the national security structures.
