Drug-related Crimes in an International Outlook

doi: 10.32561/nsz.2020.2.3

Abstract

This research is primarily based on my previous research as well as on the studies I am currently pursuing at the Faculty of International and European Studies of the University of Public Service (UPS), Master’s degree programme in International Public Service Relations. My study focuses on the investigation and prosecution of drugs offences committed at the national and the international level with regard to their efficiency indicators and to their emerging challenges. The excursus on international aspects aims to broaden the scope of the research. Replies to the annexed questionnaire from EUROPOL agents as well as from fellow officers in Hungary and in the neighbouring countries have been assessed and analysed from the point of view of cross-border drugs offences. The research focuses on providing a synopsis on investigations carried out within the European Union and on reflecting on the primary hypotheses in light of the results of the concluded research. Lastly, I am seeking to detect the errors and challenges in order to propose practical solutions and easy-to-adapt alternatives in my future research papers.
