Focal Points of National Security Task in the New Millennium

Abstract

In his article the author gives an overview about the most important fields of Hungarian national security organization in the first decade of the new millennium. He highlights six major security policy challenges of this period see as the struggle against international terrorism, organized crime, migration, political extremism, countering secret services activities and the impact of (party) politics. The aim of the study is to give a horizontal view about task and function from the above mentioned period and straighten the importance of national security studies.
