Abstract

It is a common place that the information society has an enormous impact on our daily life, the Internet penetrates into all aspect of it. Parallel with the growing of the World Wide Web, social networks emerged with the aim to establish virtual systems for maintain relationship and communication among people and sharing contents with each other. In my study, I show how the social networks and the social media can support and improve the public order activity and how some European police organizations has already utilized them for achieving their goals.
