Abstract
Asymmetric warfare and related theories in the Hungarian military science literature.
The revolution of technology and information, the globalization, the unstable states, the appearance of non-governmental actors, and the huge difference formed between the armed organizations which took place after the end of the Cold War generated changes in the military science. The new, emerging theories are mainly focusing on the changes of military studies in the 21st century. Some of these – such as the asymmetrical warfare, the guerrilla or irregular warfare, terrorism and the theory of the war on terrorism – have become widely known, and used. In my study I would like to introduce, in chronological order and compressed form, how these changes and theories appear in the Hungarian military science literature.
