The Changes of the Mission System of the Home Office between 1848–1959

Abstract

The 1848-49 revolution and War of Independence had a principal role in the Hungarian history of the public administration. The first Hungarian Home Office was established in this period, which subsequently became a model. During its history, the Home Office had a wide scale of tasks and competence, which we present in our study between the period of 1848-1959 in each era.
