doi: 10.32561/nsz.2019.1.7

Abstract

The elections held in recent years have led to the appreciation of social media worldwide. Not only the parties’ campaign-counsellors use the community sites with predilection, but also the civils, the national security services of foreign nations in the interest of altering the nations’ decision-makers of the political election in their favour. This study examines the role played by social media in elections, primarily in the context of the 2016 BREXIT Voting and the American presidential election from a scientometric aspect.
