Troops and experts of HHDF have gathered numerous experiments during NATO and multinational operations. However some researches and attempts were made in the recent past on military construction technology (fortification) but there were no significant improvements and developments. This paper shows an approximate method for calculating the tension-function capable of determining the stress and deformation conditions of an unlimited half-plane with arbitrary border curve. The definition of the problem is general enough for this approximate method to be applied to solve a lot of practical problems. The formulas shown are suitable for computer programming. The accuracy of the calculated results can be improved by increasing the number of points taken.

Ha végiggondoljuk, kevés olyan természettudományi ismeret van, amely nem kapcsolódott, vagy nem kapcsolódik a hadtudományhoz. Kevés olyan tudományos és technikai érték van, amelynek első próbája és sikere nem a haditechnikában jelentkezett. Az elmúlt évtizedekben a hazai és nemzetközi tudományos ismeretek jelentős része nem épült be a tisztképzés oktatási rendszerébe, s a tisztképzésben dolgozó oktatók, kutatást végzők sem tudtak megismerkedni ezen eredményekkel, katonai alkalmazási lehetőségeikkel. A műszaki csapatok jelentősége a NATO-hoz való csatlakozásunkkal felértékelődik. (IFOR/SFOR Magyar Műszaki Kontingens: hídépítések, útépítések, helyreállítások, stb.) Az építőmérnök képzésben és gyakorlatban az egyik legfontosabb "építőanyag" a talaj (a kötött és kötetlen szemcsés közeg). A hadiútépítések, mellvéd alatti fedezékek s a talajjal összefüggő építések (csatornák, hidak, alapozások) nem nélkülözhetik a talajjal kapcsolatos számítások, számítási módszerek, korszerű talajmechanikai elméletek ismeretét. E cikkben a talaj mechanikai viselkedésének követésére (leírására) mai napig leggyakrabban használt ún. klasszikus kontinuummodell feltevésrendszerére alapozott új - több célra felhasználható - számítási módszert mutatunk be. 71-year-old Dr. Othmár Mueller, the retired director of IMSZI, the leader of ÉTE Explosion-techniques department, the international expert of explosions suddenly died. His works marked by 8 books, approx. 500 articles in different booklets, magazines written in Hungarian, German, English and Slovakian languages. The establishment of the Explosion-techniques  Library that has more than 26 thousand books is also connected to his name.
