The study examines the relationship between Force Protection (FP) and counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) within the modern operational environment. The proliferation of unmanned aerial vehicles has introduced new, low-observable and rapidly adaptable threats that significantly increase the vulnerability of military forces. According to NATO doctrine, FP is a cross-functional set of activities aimed at protecting personnel, infrastructure, and military equipment, while ensuring freedom of action. The study highlights that addressing the drone threat requires an integrated approach in which engineering support plays a key role. Fortification activities, camouflage, and recovery capabilities all contribute to enhancing survivability. It can be concluded that engineering measures constitute essential components of a modern, adaptive, and layered defence system.

The design of industrial facilities that process explosive materials is a complex engineering and
safety task that requires an integrated approach to technological processes, facility layout, and
protective measures. The aim of this study is to analyse the technological and safety design of
facilities in the explosives industry using a risk-based approach, with particular emphasis on spatial layout, protective systems, and risk mitigation solutions that ensure safe operation.
During the study, a comparative analysis was conducted of the relevant domestic regulatory
framework as well as international explosion safety standards and recommendations (particularly the IATG, AASTP, and DGUV guidelines), supplemented by the application of risk assessment methods – such as the worst-case scenario approach and qualitative and quantitative analysis procedures. The results highlight that the foundation of safe facility design is the “safety by
design” approach, the minimisation of exposure, and the consistent application of defence-indepth
systems. The coordination of technological processes and architectural design, the proper
separation of hazardous and inert zones, and the correct determination of safety distances and
explosion protection solutions significantly reduce accident risks and their consequences.
A robbantások detektálásának lehetősége ionoszonda alkalmazásával
An explosion can occur underground, on the surface of the earth and in the atmosphere. During an explosion, primary, secondary, Love and Rayleigh surface waves arise; the same waves are generated during an earthquake. We differentiate acoustic, gravity, acoustic-gravity and surface waves. The elliptically propagating Rayleigh wave is the one which can be examined. The atmospheric wave generated by surface waves can travel long distances, reaching the ionosphere. Depending on how much explosive energy it receives, it can travel all the way to the top layer. The ionosphere, as part of the thermosphere, extends from 60 km up to the exosphere starting at 600 km and can be divided into several sublayers. Those are the D, E and F layers. Nowadays, the ionosphere is continuously studied, primarily in the field of radio communications. Digisonde or ionosonde can be used to study the layers and examine the state of the ionosphere. The DPS4D is capable of detecting anomalies in real time.

The third part of the series of articles shows that spatial thinking can be developed in various
subjects using a variety of teaching methods, such as visualisation, project-based learning,
cooperative learning, simulations, and role playing. Visual and interactive tools such as maps,
3D models, digital animations, and modern digital technologies such as virtual and augmented
reality significantly increase the understanding of spatial concepts and active participation
by learners. In addition, software designed to develop spatial awareness, CAD, modelling and
simulation programmes play an important role, enabling a visual, interactive and often playful
learning experience. Technological innovations such as VR, AR, haptic devices, and cloud-based
and parameterised software further expand the possibilities, but at the same time pose challenges
in terms of accessibility and equipment requirements. The article summarises that integrating different educational strategies and technologies can more effectively develop spatial awareness, contributing to the strengthening of spatial thinking and problem-solving skills, which is particularly important in the fields of engineering and military logistics.

The prediction of underwater radiated noise (URN) is of strategic importance both in military
applications and in the protection of the marine environment. Based on the scientific literature
and current standardisation practice, URN cannot be interpreted as a purely hydrodynamic
phenomenon. Instead, excitation mechanisms, structural vibrations, and hydrodynamic loading
jointly determine the far-field sound pressure level through a coupled vibroacoustic multiphysics
system. This review discusses the relevant physical foundations of underwater sound propagation,
the principal source mechanisms of URN (propeller cavitation, structure-borne noise, and flowinduced
noise), and the associated coupled modelling approaches, including structural finite
element modelling, fluid–structure interaction, CFD-based flow modelling, acoustic analogy
methods, and FEM–BEM coupling. Furthermore, the hierarchy of predictive models and the tradeoff
between computational cost and predictive accuracy are examined. As a central element,
a detailed vibroacoustic multiphysics workflow suitable for URN prediction is presented, together
with a discussion of validation strategies and the uncertainties of sea trial measurements in the
context of the ISO 17208 standard series.
A víz alatti kisugárzott zaj (underwater radiated noise, URN) predikciója a haditechnikai alkalmazásokban és a tengeri környezet védelmében egyaránt stratégiai jelentőségű.

This study examines the operational concept and potential effects of nuclear-powered underwater autonomous vehicles, with particular focus on the Russian 2M39 “Poseidon” system. Using historical nuclear test data as an analytical baseline, the paper evaluates the destructive mechanisms and realistic capabilities of underwater nuclear detonations. The analysis draws on documented results from U.S. and Soviet underwater nuclear test programmes, including Operation Crossroads (Baker), Operation Wigwam, and Operation Hardtack. These experiments provide empirical evidence on shock wave propagation, gas bubble dynamics, and radiological contamination in maritime environments. Findings indicate that underwater nuclear explosions produce significantly higher peak pressures and more efficient energy transfer to submerged targets compared to air bursts. The primary destructive mechanisms include the initial shock wave and subsequent gas bubble oscillations, both of which can cause severe structural and functional damage to naval vessels, even without direct contact.

The chemicals used in agriculture are diverse and their quantity is significant. They can be divided into two large groups: plant protection products and fertilisers. With the help of their optimal use, the quantity and quality of crop yields can be tailored to the needs of society. The activities of businesses and professionals that use chemicals are extremely diverse due to differences in the amount, type, and concentration of the materials used, the technologies applied, and territorial characteristics. In recent decades, across Europe and beyond, many damage events have occurred in relation to agrochemicals. In our country, consistent regulation and the conscious use of chemicals contribute to the fact that the number of damage events described above represents a decreasing trend. Of course, further minimisation of these events is an important goal for professionals. The article provides a professional opportunity to interpret and reflect on the above.

The aim of this study is to examine how base layers worn by firefighters contribute to comfort, thermoregulation, and freedom of movement during interventions, and how appropriate material composition can support the effectiveness of protective clothing. The research involved testing a base layer set in real interventions and practical scenarios with the participation of firefighters. Usage was documented by the author using a standardised evaluation form assessing the key aspects of comfort, thermal performance, freedom of movement, and functionality. The results indicate that the garments performed favourably in terms of thermal sensation and movement comfort; however, durability and overall satisfaction point to further opportunities for improvement. The study highlights that testing base layers is a process in which practical experience plays a key role and which may, in the future, contribute to improving the ergonomic and safety performance of protective clothing. The author also briefly presents a technological innovation, emphasising that subjective user experience-based evaluation should, in the future, be complemented with objective measurement data.

However, the written
history of humanity not only highlights the religious, cultural, and artistic aspects of this
relationship, but also commemorates the role dogs have played in human conflicts – often as
instruments of destruction. The breed’s versatility, physical attributes, outstanding ability to
sense environmental changes, affection and devotion toward humans, as well as its capacity for
social learning and trainability, offer opportunities for training dogs in various fields. Given these
advantageous traits, the use of a purposefully trained dog emerges as an obvious solution to some
of the problems and challenges arising in military contexts, which I examine not in chronological
order but through the presentation of new forms of application and capabilities that emerged in
specific historical periods. A key feature is their sense of smell and the sensory capabilities they
demonstrate in this area – despite the massive technological advancements of the 20th and 21st
centuries – which ensures more flexible, compact, and, under certain conditions, more effective
task performance than any mechanised technology.
