Is the BRFK 140 Years Old, and If So, Why Not

Abstract

The 140^th birthday of the BRFK was recently celebrated. This study elaborates on the documents supporting the circumstances of the birth of the Metropolitan Police and its authentic date. Thus the law on the unification of the capital and the literature on the history of the police. Legal and professional sources have clearly established that the Metropolitan Police was created in 1873 and is now 148 years old.
