Abstract

Digitalisation processes are reorganising the relationships among society, individuals and
organisations, and their effects can be experienced in education. The use of tablets and
mobile phones, emails and social media are no longer just an option in education, but a key
opportunity to keep 21st century learners motivated. Social networking sites can be used not only to broadcast information, but applying foreign language sites can be excellent classroom
activities in language teaching (e.g. teaching languages for specific purposes), using both Hungarian and foreign language sites. This study examines the use of social networking sites in law enforcement from an instructor’s viewpoint, while also presenting the possible use of the sites from a student’s viewpoint.
