Expectations About Police Operations

Abstract

Police actions are rarely the same; however, some fundamental steps should be part of any police operation. These properties qualify the police action and form society’s opinion about the police. Such objective and subjective expectations can be circumscribed in a military authoritarian system; still, the fundamental concepts have not been defined. Regulations affecting police measures are in need of updating and modernizing.
