Abstract

Public Organizations intend to become more efficient trying to meet government expectations and client needs. For this purpose they may establish an appropriate structure, define strategies, however, the success will depend on the staff running the organizations — on their preparedness, commitment and skills. In my study I present the European Union’s recommendations for customs authorities on the suitability of custom officers.
