Convergence of the Police Career and Higher Education

Abstract

The police career model was created as part of the civil service and within it, in the law enforcement career. Its major mission is to provide a predictable system of human resources for the police in the long run with a strategic approach. The career path is an integral part of the career path, where higher education is very important. In my paper I present the theoretical background of the development of the police career, the timeliness and justification of the legal regulation. I especially take into consideration the performance management and consider the emphasis of the convergence of life and higher education.
