The Starting Points of the Good State – Good Law Enforcement Special Report

Abstract

This study is the third phase of the research work executed within the frame of "Good State – Good Law Enforcement” and sums up the results of several years of research. The authors tried to introduce a performance review system that is different from the current one both in its structural aspect and in the indicators it uses. Obviously, the authors agree with the fact that judging the quality and efficiency of policemen’s work performance by means of indicators is extremely difficult. It is not possible to create a clean formula to evaluate the quality of police work.
