Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The submission is prepared for blind peer review, self-identifying citations and references are omitted.
  • Author Information Form is uploaded with the submission.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the journal's Author Guidelines.
  • Where available, URLs and DOIs for the references have been provided.
  • I hereby declare that I have read, acknowledged and fully understood the terms and conditions established in the Privacy Policy of the folyoirat.ludovika.hu site.
  • I hereby declare that I have read, acknowledged and fully understood the journal's Ethical Guidelines and that I have prepared my publication in accordance with it.

GENERAL RULES

Authors should kindly note that submission implies that the content has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere except as a brief abstract in the proceedings of a meeting or symposium.

Once the submission materials have been prepared in accordance with the Author Guidelines, manuscripts should be submitted online.

Submissions ought to be prepared for double-blind peer review, self-identifying citations and references should be avoided. Author information is to be provided on a separate Author Information Form.

By submitting a manuscript to or reviewing for this publication, your name, email address, and affiliation, and other contact details the publication might require, will be used for the regular operations of the publication, including, when necessary, sharing with the publisher (Ludovika University Press) and partners for production and publication. The publication and the publisher recognise the importance of these services, and have practices in place to ensure that the steps are taken to maintain the security, integrity, and privacy of the personal data collected and processed.

SUBMISSION

Authors should use the provided Article Template.

Abstract

Enter an abstract of up to 150 words for all articles. An abstract is a concise summary of the whole paper, not just the conclusions, and is understandable without reference to the rest of the paper. It should contain no citation to other published work.

Keywords

Please provide four to six keywords.

Main Text

The language of the journal is English. 12-point type in Times New Roman font. Please double-line space your manuscript. Apart from exceptional cases, the Journal only accepts those manuscripts for review that are above 5,000 words and below 9,000 words including tables and bibliography. Tables and figures must be incorporated into the main text.

References

References should be prepared according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th edition). This means in text citations should follow the author-date method whereby the author’s last name and the year of publication for the source should appear in the text, for example, (Jones, 1998, p. [cited page]). The complete reference list should appear alphabetically by name at the end of the paper. Please note that a DOI should be provided for all references where available.

EDITORIAL POLICIES AND ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS

Peer Review and Acceptance

The acceptance criteria for all papers are the quality and originality of the research and its significance to journal readership. Except where otherwise stated, manuscripts are double-blind peer reviewed. Papers will only be sent to review if the Editorial Office determines that the paper meets the appropriate quality and relevance requirements.

Conflict of Interest

The journal requires that all authors disclose any potential sources of conflict of interest. If the authors have no conflict of interest to declare, they must also state this at the time of submission.

Authorship

The list of authors should accurately illustrate who contributed to the work and how. All those listed as authors should qualify for authorship according to the following criteria:

  1. Have made substantial contributions to research, or acquisition or analysis of data.
  2. Been involved in drafting the manuscript or revising it and participated sufficiently in the work to take public responsibility for it.
  3. Given final approval of the version to be published.
  4. Agreed to be accountable for all aspects of the work.

Prior to submitting the article all authors should agree on the order in which their names will be listed in the manuscript.
