Operation Unified Protector from the Perspective of the Maltese Air Navigation Service Provider

doi: 10.32560/rk.2023.1.1

Abstract

War conflicts always have effect on air navigation service providers directly and indirectly. Nowadays, it is particularly relevant to examine the provision of air navigation services through a conflict in a neighbouring country, to outline its complexity and difficulties, and at the same time the potential opportunities in civil-military cooperation. In my study I analyse the role of the Maltese Air Navigation Service Provider during the Operation Unified Protector, presenting a brief history of the air traffic in Malta, as well as the air traffic environment.
